Tuesday May 30 - Vaal Tips and Analysis

Race 1

Genuine speed engaged in this one. OPEN HIGHWAY hasn't been far away in first three races and drawn the rails, genuine contender. PRIVILEGE looks the leader, dangerous. MAGIC PRINCE has genuine early speed, in with a chance. KLITSGRAS amongst the placegetters at only start running third at Turffontein, cannot be ruled out.

Race 2

Anticipating a truly run race so don’t rule out backmarkers. ZOOM LADY has genuine early speed and should run fitter for past attempts, a winning chance. SPARKLING JUBILEE first-up after 26 week spell and hasn't been far away in first two races, dangerous. AMOR PERDIDO first starter and draws to do no work, still in this. NAKA ISLAND first starter and untrialled, don't treat lightly.

Race 3

Backmarkers should get their chance in a good speed race. SECRET RECIPE has a lot of early speed, has solid claims. MISAVA drawn ideally, still in this. PERFORM first-up after 17 week spell, marginal top pick.  BE REAL has plenty of early speed and a likely leader, could threaten.

Race 4

Anticipating this to be run genuine tempo. KAMBULU has plenty of early speed and a likely leader, cannot be ruled out. UNCLE LUCKY let-up for nine weeks and should find the lead easily having drawn well, still in this. JUST VAR has the speed to overcome a very wide draw and should run fitter for past attempts, hard to go past. ATCHISON TOPEKA in the money last start running third at Vaal and should run fitter for past attempts, not without each-way claims.

Race 5

Anticipating a truly run race so don’t rule out backmarkers. MISS CHRISTMAS drawn the rails, genuine contender. ANTANANARIVO capable of racing on speed, sneaky chance. SPRING OF ELIXIR has plenty of early speed and a likely leader, place only. ALL RISE has a lot of early speed, strong place chance.

Race 6

Solid pace expected in this one. BOB'S YOUR UNCLE has had a flying start to their career and has a lot of early speed, place chance. NORDIC REBEL has plenty of early speed and a likely leader, if in the finish no surprise. YOUCANTHURRYLOVE let-up and has genuine early speed, well placed.  CITY BY THE SEA let-up for seven weeks and has got off to a poor start this campaign but should improve with fitness, capable of getting into the money.

Race 7

Backmarkers should get their chance in a good speed race. ZEUS back from eight week let-up and capable of racing on speed, the real danger in the race. BOLD FORTUNE has a lot of early speed and has won three times at Vaal before, genuine contender. LAGUNA VERDE let-up and has genuine early speed, looks threatening. ARGO ALLEY has outstanding form at this track and has a lot of early speed, cannot be ruled out.

Race 8

Anticipating this to be run genuine tempo. LORD VARYS last start winner at Vaal and has genuine early speed, looks threatening. FUNKY MUSIC last start winner at Vaal when resuming and capable of racing on speed, has solid claims. RAIN OR SHINE has plenty of early speed and a likely leader, still in this.  BLOOMINGTON back from six week let-up and has a lot of early speed, don't treat lightly.
