Tuesday March 21 - Turffontein Tips and Analysis

Race 1

Hard to gauge given the number of first starters. COPPER JOHN placed at only start at Turffontein, the real danger in the race.\ along with MAX THE MAGICIAN. MOOLA MAN first starter and untrialled, a winning chance. SUGAR BLAST first start and has not trialled, still in this.

Race 2

A number of first starters in this one. KOMESANS PASSION yet to miss the placegetters in two runs and expect to lead/box seat having drawn the rails, looks threatening. RED HOT ROSE placed at only start at Turffontein, don't dismiss. LOVE SONG on debut and untrialled, marginal top pick. SPRING IN HEAVEN first start and has the speed to overcome drawing the widest barrier, expect to be right up there.

Tip: 5 , 10 , 7 , 13

Race 3

Looks likely to be hot speed early. HEART OF ETERNITY let-up for eight weeks and should find the lead easily having drawn well, hard to go past. SIMPLY MAGIC let-up and capable of racing on speed, cannot be ruled out. THE WORK OF LIFE first starter and racing without trial, not without each-way claims. REGINA BELLISSIMA resumes after a 15 week spell and has the speed to overcome drawing the widest barrier, still in this.

Race 4

Looks to have good pace engaged in this one. AZUCAR looks the likely leader and should have the pace in this one to come over the top. EDWARD RYE in the money at only start running second at Turffontein, big chance. SAKA GOLD first-up after 13 week spell, quinella. INSIGHTFUL back from 17 week spell and capable of racing on speed, place only.

Race 5

A race that should be solid pressure applied in early stages. FLYING FIRST CLASS has plenty of early speed and a likely leader, serious player. WHITE FANG let-up for nine weeks and capable of racing on speed, include in exotics. BANHA BRIDGE has a lot of early speed, for the wider exotics. OUT OF YOUR LEAGUE capable of racing on speed and all wins have come when faced with dry ground, outside hope.

Race 6

Genuine speed engaged in this one. CELESTIAL CITY looks hard to beat in this up tempo race. CALL ME MASTER back from nine week let-up and resumes well, genuine contender. TWIN TURBO has genuine early speed and rates highly with Siyanda Sosibo aboard, don't dismiss. TOFFAS looks the leader and in strong form with two wins from nine attempts this campaign, could upset.

Race 7

Expecting this to be run at a genuine clip. OYSTER KING on a five day back-up and has genuine early speed, major contender. WIND SOCK resumes from a 35 week spell and has the speed to overcome drawing the widest barrier, needs the breaks. MABONENG let-up and has genuine early speed, not the worst. EAGLE ALLEY has plenty of early speed and a likely leader, chance to place.

Race 8

A number of horses will look to battle it out for the early lead. SOUTHERN SKIES won or placed in three races to start career and has a lot of early speed, a winning chance. DANCETILDAYLIGHT looks the leader and both wins have come in the dry, sneaky chance. LUCY IN THE SKY back from let-up and capable of racing on speed, not without each-way claims. GOLDEN ASPEN draws to do no work, in with a chance.

Race 9

Looks to have good pace engaged in this one. SILVER MENSA let-up for eight weeks and yet to miss the placegetters, a winning chance. MOTHER OF PEARL back from let-up and has the speed to overcome drawing the widest barrier, could threaten. LOLLAPALOOZA coming off a win at Vaal and has genuine early speed, the real danger in the race. TAYOOBA first-up after 36 week spell and looks the leader, dangerous.

Tip: 4 , 6 , 5 , 1

Race 10

Expecting this to be run at a genuine clip. COLDHARDSTARE first-up after 23 week spell and placed when on debut at Turffontein, still in this. THERE SHE GOES has very strong form at Turffontein and has genuine early speed, commands respect. LIL MISS MONEYBAGS back from six week let-up and capable of racing on speed, needs the breaks.PERMESSO AVANTI let-up for nine weeks and resumes well running third at Turffontein when last first-up, cannot be ruled out.
